On 16 November, our pupils went on the long-awaited excursion to the Volta Region at the end of the first quarter.
At 5am, 45 children from grades 1-6 set off by bus. After a short “sightseeing tour” through Accra and a fun bus ride with lots of singing, we arrived at our first stop of the day, the Wli Waterfall. The walk through the forest to the waterfall was an adventure in itself. Once there, everyone was super impressed by the huge waterfall.
We then went to Mount Afadjato, the largest mountain in Ghana. After a refreshment with Kenkey, we climbed to the top of the mountain together with a tour guide. Once at the top, everyone was very proud of their achievement, posed diligently for souvenir photos and enjoyed the fantastic view.
It was a great and exciting day that we will all remember for a long time to come!
