In Kokrobite, our team had put a lot of effort into planning a whole week’s program as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations. Our visitors from Germany – our association board, as well as some members and friends of Arise – gained even deeper insight into the local conditions and our team’s activities during this very intensive week. This once again vividly demonstrated the significance of our project. We were deeply impressed and returned with even greater motivation for the tasks ahead in Kokrobite.
Here are some impressions from each day:
Day 1, 29. July 2025: Our students welcomed our visitors from Germany and they got a guided tour of our new school building, as well as meeting the entire Team of Arise
Day 2, 30. July 2025: We vistied families whose children attend Arise Educational Foundation and the former locations of our school building.
Day 3, 31. July 2025: We celebrated our GOKI Tournament – An Event featuring sporting activities and games of skill, donated by our partner of many years and toy manufacturer GOKI.
Day 4, 01. August 2025: Together we joined a guided tour through the Shai Hills, a nature reserve close to Accra.
Day 5, 02. August 2025: With a festive ceremony we celebrated our second Graduation, including the presentation of certificates and an extensive supporting program like performances by the students, speeches, musical performances, magic show and films.
Day 6, 04. August 2025: We ended our celebration week with a training event for our teachers about positive discipline and student centered learning.
It was truly an impressive week with a lot of dedication and passion and we’d once again thank everyone, who joined.
